About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic patient care services and supports activities within ambulatory settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, visual and color vision screenings, drug screens, and point-of-care urinalysis.
- Assist with reception and clerical tasks.
- Prepare treatment areas.
- Clean and maintain medical equipment.
- Manage biomedical waste.
- Monitor and restock medical supplies.
- Work with patient registries to improve care.
- Ensure patient comfort by applying age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Six months’ experience and clinic setting knowledge are advantageous.
Skills
- Familiarity with healthcare concepts, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and equipment is preferred.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (NA) or CNA is desirable.
- Must obtain and maintain necessary certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS).
- North Dakota residents without CNA certification must register as a Nursing Assistant within four months.
- Requires self-motivation, teamwork, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively amid distractions.
Pay
Salary range: $16.50 - $22.50 per hour.
Schedule
Full-time position on day shifts.
