Sentara is hiring a Patient Care Technician at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach.

Department/Position Overview

The Stroke, Medicine, and Intermediate Care Unit 3D offers a fast-paced, 20-bed unit with a mix of stroke, medicine, and intermediate care patients. The unit is known for teamwork between nurses and patient care technicians.

Minimum Requirements

• One year of prior health care experience preferred.
• American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• A High School Diploma or Equivalent and one of the following:
• Sentara Care Partner Certification Program,
• Successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA),
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA),
• National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT),
• Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School,
• Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic,
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program (beyond prerequisites) having completed at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT or PT.
