Patient Care Technician PT Nights
About the Role
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Patient Care Technician (PCT/CNA) to join our team at Mercy Medical Center. This person is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
Responsibilities
- Helps assigned patients with all activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, fluid intake, elimination, bathing, and dressing.
- Delivers ice and beverages to patients as directed.
- Performs selected tasks such as patient transport, collection of specimens, and distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms.
- Provides care according to hospital procedures in a manner that protects the safety and dignity of patients.
- May perform secretarial tasks to aid in the flow of the unit.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.
- CPR/Basic Life Support certification required (AMA or Red Cross).
Schedule
Part-Time, 24 hours night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Must work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled.
Pay
Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.65. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
