About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides nursing care to patients under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include performing routine direct patient care activities, observing patients, reporting changes in patient condition, and performing specific skills such as phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine direct patient care activities following established policies and procedures.
• Observe patients and report changes in patient condition to the registered nurse.
• Perform specific skills including phlebotomy and point of care testing (POCT).

Requirements

• Basic Life Support certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR - GED.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
