Patient Care Technician PCU
Job Summary
As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Enrolled in Nursing Program, or Patient Care Tech Training, or (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant, or Work Experience in Lieu of Credential, or (EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
Responsibilities
- Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
- Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
- Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
- Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
- Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
