Patient Care Technician / PCT Renal Med Surg

About the role

Day shift, full-time Renal Services Medical Surgical Patient Care Tech (PCT) position located in Tulsa, OK at Hillcrest Medical Center, a 656-bed hospital featuring the Alexander Burn Center, Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, latest cancer treatment technology, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress and prepare/disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and perform housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements per unit routines.
• Assist patients with range of motion exercises.
• Draw blood (phlebotomy).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long‑term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
