Patient Care Technician (PCT) - PRN Nights | Heritage Valley

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Duties are carried out within the limits of the position and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The PCT does not administer medications or therapy and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
• Provide accommodative services to patients.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
