About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Duties are carried out within the limits of the position, without administering medications or therapy, and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities and accommodative services under supervision.
• Provide care within the defined limits of the Patient Care Technician role.
• Do not administer medications or therapy.
• Do not assume independent responsibility for patient care.
• Follow PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent (preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• 2–3 years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit (preferred).
