Patient Care Technician (PCT) - FT Nights | PAM Health New Albany

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) at PAM Health is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodating services under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position.
• Does not administer medications or therapy.
• Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care.
• Job duties are consistent with PAM Health's policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate patient needs.
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift and move patients as needed.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary.
• Basic computer skills for accessing patient records and completing documentation.
