About the role
The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. This position supports patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader.
Responsibilities
- Performs specific duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Contributes to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures a positive patient experience by working alongside the care team.
- Works in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling.
Requirements
- No experience required, training provided on-site.
- Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation.
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
- Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
- Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
- Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
