About the role

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine and surgery, as well as a wide variety of specialties. This position supports patient care under the supervision of a Nurse Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Performs specific duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect patient care activities.
  • Contributes to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures a positive patient experience by working alongside the care team.
  • Works in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and requires flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements

  • No experience required, training provided on-site.
  • Successful completion of PCT specific HHC orientation.
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 2 Months (60 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
  • Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Current certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Certification as a CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, or CMA to be eligible for advancement in the PCT clinical ladder.
