Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing dialysis treatment to several patients at a time. This role involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift.
Job Description
Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support and collaborate with RNs to provide dialysis treatment to several patients at a time while maintaining the functionality of the clinic. This involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and opening the clinic at 4am for first shift. PCTs have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion needed to develop deep relationships with patients and improve their quality of life. Qualified candidates have prior customer service, healthcare and direct patient care experience, and will have the opportunity to learn the discipline of dialysis.
Success Profile
In this role, you will support the organization’s mission to deliver superior care that improves the quality of life of every patient, every day. You will be responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and supporting the organization’s commitment to the Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) and CQI Activities. You will also be responsible for reporting any significant information and/or changes in patient condition directly to the registered nurse or supervisor.

Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline.
- All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.

- Prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule to accommodate the early morning start times required for dialysis treatment. Shifts may vary based on department needs.
