Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support and collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) in providing dialysis treatment to multiple patients at a time. This role involves prepping and testing equipment, reviewing treatment sheets, and starting dialysis at 4 am for the first shift.

Job Description

Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) at Fresenius Medical Care support the dialysis health care team by assisting with patient care, education, and treatment setup. Key responsibilities include:

• Assist in patient education regarding dialysis adequacy measures.
• Welcome and inquire about patients' wellbeing.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation.
• Obtain vital signs and weight before and after treatment.
• Initiate and monitor dialysis treatment according to orders.
• Evaluate and intervene for intradialytic problems.
• Document patient responses and complete treatment sheets.
• Ensure safety and proper documentation of treatment parameters.
• Prepare and organize supplies for efficient use.
• Support staff training and maintain a clean and safe environment.

Success Profile

Successful candidates should have prior customer service, healthcare, and direct patient care experience. They must also have a combination of technical skills and genuine passion for building relationships with patients.
