Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Take patient history, obtain vital signs, perform phlebotomy, complete lab paperwork, schedule ancillary care, assist providers with exams and testing, document patient history, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Reception: Greet patients, complete registration, explain insurance options, answer and triage phone calls, collect patient responsibility, print, scan, and fax reports, and clean the clinic.
  • Occupational Medicine: Ensure accurate completion and timely scanning of occupational medicine documentation, complete DOT and non-DOT physicals, conduct drug screens, and perform vision and audio testing.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role, or equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare specialty.
  • Preferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy.
  • Ability to identify equipment problems and correct them or notify the team leader.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families.
  • Computer skills, including registering patients on the EMR system.
  • CPR certification.
  • Educational requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred certifications: EMT Basic, Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
