About the role
DaVita is hiring a full-time Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you’ll provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.
- No dialysis experience is required
- Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic
- Float to various clinics during and after your training
- Flexible full-time schedule working 3-4 days per week, 10-12- and/or 14-hour shifts (alternating Saturdays) — Sundays off
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
- Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
- Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
- Record vital signs and patient data
- Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
- Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members
Requirements
- Accredited high school diploma, GED credential, or equivalent
- Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred: CNA, MA, CHT, phlebotomy certification, or healthcare experience

Pay
The wage range for this role is $23.50 - $36.50 per hour. Patient Care Technician ICHD Resident: $24.00 - $25.25 per hour.
New York exempt minimum salaries: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00 per year; Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00 per year; remainder of New York state: $62,353.20 per year.
New York non-exempt minimum wages: New York City and Long Island: $17.00 per hour; Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00 per hour; remainder of New York state: $16.00 per hour.
