Patient Care Technician/Patient Sitter - Nursing Float Pool - Rotating Schedule

Position Summary

This role’s primary focus will be providing one-on-one patient safety watches. Other duties will be required as needed.

Deliverables

• Delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
• Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgements or administration of medications.
• Patient safety watches, bedside patient care, vitals, positioning, feeding, and EKG.

Physical Demands

• Heavy work: requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification And Licensure

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A medical background, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity are preferred.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
• Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.

Special Equipment, Skills Or Other Requirements

• Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training provided upon hire.

Work Environment And Hazards

• Office/Clinical setting.
• Exposure class I.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $17.25 - $25.00 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
