Patient Care Technician - Ortho/Neuro/Peds

About the role

Ortho/Neuro/Peds Unit is a 30‑bed medical, surgical, pediatric specialty unit. Ortho and Neuro programs in ONP are Rush Copley Strategic Initiatives. The unit is part of the Center for Joint Reconstruction and Replacement Program and Primary Stroke Center. The 6‑bed pediatric population is predominately medical with respiratory illness and is treated by pediatric‑trained nurses. Applying for a position in ONP does not require pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clinical and environmental tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Provide care for patients of all ages in the clinical setting.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Certifications: CPR required; CNA certification preferred.
• Special skills: Bilingual (Spanish) abilities highly desirable.
• Experience: Previous experience preferred.
