Patient Care Technician Observation

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in his/her independent unit.
  • Affords and observes patient changes to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
  • Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or health care team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
  • 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
  • Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred

Benefits

Night shift working with 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Pay

Self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered, along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

Schedule

Full-time Night shift working.
