About the role
Patient Care Technician (PCT) responsible for providing direct patient care under nurse supervision in a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs; report changes accurately.
- Perform ECGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection.
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Respond promptly to call bells and ensure patient supervision and safety at all times.
- Collaborate with security and medical staff to ensure safety.
- Perform additional duties within scope of work as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with completion of a Patient Care Technician program.
- Current BLS certification; ECG/Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (unless waived).
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and perform duties reliably.
Requirements
- Maintain licenses and certifications.
- Pass annual background checks.
- Adhere to ongoing training requirements.
