Patient Care Technician - MSICU

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit, collaborating with Registered Nurses to perform tasks such as bedside care, vitals, positioning, feeding, phlebotomy, and EKG.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient care delivery and adheres to care standards to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintains knowledge through orientation and ongoing education.
• Completes population-specific competencies annually.
• Provides safe and effective care, including proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical background preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training upon hire.
• Physical ability to perform heavy work, including standing, lifting, and pulling.
