Schedule

Full Time, 12-hour day shift, 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care and assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Performs 12-lead EKGs
• Performs phlebotomy and obtains/processes specimens
• Performs clerical duties
• Assists RNs with patient care procedures
• Conducts cardiac monitoring (arrhythmia recognition)

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)
• Phlebotomy and/or Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
• One year of experience in a clinical area (preferred)
• Current CPR Certification
• General office skills and medical terminology (preferred)

Working Conditions

Works primarily in a hospital setting on a consistent shift and unit. Requires moderate to frequent lifting (excess of 50 lbs), bending, and assisting with correct techniques. Must be able to operate office equipment, computer terminals, keyboards, and computerized lab equipment. Likely to be exposed to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases daily. Requires extensive walking during the shift.
