Patient Care Technician , ICU - part time
About the role
We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Patient Care Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be an integral part of patient care, working alongside nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic patient care with clinical competence.
- Affords assistance to Registered Nurses by performing patient care tasks and supportive duties in the acute setting.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibit flexibility in decision-making and assignment prioritization.
- Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with the medical and nursing staff across all areas within the facility.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Demonstrates the knowledge/skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient.
- Is self-directed and quickly able to adapt to variable patient care conditions and volume levels in the hospital.
Requirements
- Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Has a BLS Certification.
- One year experience as a CNA, EMT, nursing student, or other suitable experience.
Qualifications
- Preferred – Experience performing phlebotomy and/or EKGs.
- Experience with computer order entry.

Schedule
Part time, day/even/night rotation required. Two 12 hour shifts, 6:45am-7:15pm or 6:45am to 7:15pm. Alternating weekend and holiday commitments.
Pay Range
$19.94 - $25.00, based on experience.
