About the role
The Accountabilities JOB DESCRIPTION includes assisting patients with vital signs, weights and heights, mobility assistance, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring. It also involves taking patient histories, preparing examination rooms, and helping with minor medical procedures like wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws. Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition to the RN is also a key responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with vital signs, weights, and heights
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring
- Take patient histories and prepare examination rooms
- Help with minor medical procedures such as wound care, vaccinations, and blood draws
- Observe and report changes in patients' condition to the RN
- Prepare, organize, and utilize supplies and equipment
- Document patient information and data, including vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature
- Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care experience preferred
- Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months preferred
- BLS preferred; required within 3 months of hire
- CCMA in PCT program related preferred

- Preferred interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of the Care Center
