Patient Care Technician I

About the Role

The Patient Care Technician supports nursing staff by performing routine patient activities and delegated care procedures, considering patient developmental needs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient changing and dressing
• Transporting patients
• Identifying abnormal findings (vital signs, lab results, EKG, CXR)
• Reporting issues to appropriate personnel
• Escorting patients to and from departments
• Verifying patient information and consents
• Orienting patients and families to the unit and hospital
• Obtaining and documenting vital signs

Requirements

• CNA certification
• BLS certification
• At least one year of clinical experience or completion of an intern program

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills
• Knowledge of specialized equipment
• Ability to safely perform delegated tasks

Pay

Salary ranges from $18.41 to $27.70 per hour, commensurate with experience.
