As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You'll assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. Your attention, empathy, and teamwork help restore comfort and dignity for every patient you serve and make our mission to improve lives a reality each day. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), a typical day may include: Assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing nursing care to patients including taking vital signs, EKGS, performing phlebotomy, assisting with bedside care, i.e. bathing, mouth care, skin care.Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to track patient health statusDocument patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentialityImplement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to facility policiesCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and address concernsSupport emergency response efforts by applying Basic Life Support (BLS) skills such as CPR when needed in acute situationsProviding patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients Providing for effective and safe patient outcomes through practice, judgment and critical actionsOngoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient’s careParticipating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care from admission to discharge to ensure safe transitioning This role might be for you if: Thriving in a fast-paced environment energizes you, especially in providing hands on care to our most vulnerable in an impactful wayCollaboration with nurses, doctors and therapists is important to your success as a team playerJob satisfaction is derived from comforting those at the bedsideProtection of patient safety is essential in your day-to-day work as is delivering exceptional care through compassion and professionalismContinuous learning and growth matter to you To be considered for this PCT opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma / GED and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
