Patient Care Technician - Emergency Department - Nights
Position Highlights
The Patient Care Technician position is located at Elmhurst Hospital and requires 36 hours per week of full-time work, specifically on night shifts from 7pm to 7:00am, with rotating holidays and weekends.
What You Will Do
- Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), perform patient care tasks and procedures necessary for the care, comfort, and safety of patients.
What You Will Need
- N/A
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
- PREFERRED: EMT-B Certification
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience
- Completion of one nursing clinical rotation or successful completion of EMT-B course
- Completion of a care companion course within six months of hire when required by the department
- Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, prioritization, ability to receive and follow through on directions

Pay
$18.84 - $27.32 per hour, with the pay range determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience.
