Patient Care Technician Emergency Department - Contingent - Rotating Shift - Warren

About the role

The culture in the ED is a team approach. They must have willingness to work as a team with the expectation of being able to adjust to a high acuity and fast-paced department.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Documents necessary records.
• Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Certifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.

Schedule

Rotating shift. Every other weekend and holiday are required, along with hard to fill days.
