About the role
Assists in the care of patients by providing routine, non-professional nursing care utilizing advanced medical and surgical skills typically beyond the Nursing Assistant level. Takes patients' vital signs, observes and communicates changes in patient conditions.
Requirements
- Current Maryland certification in good standing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Certification in Pre-Transport/Post-resuscitation Stabilization Care of Sick Infants Guidelines for Neonatal Healthcare Providers (STABLE) is required for staff assigned to:
- 672 – Nursing NICU
- 651 – Nursing (Post-Partum)
- Nursing 708 – Labor & Delivery
- Less than one year of experience.
- Basic knowledge and working experience with Medical Terminology.
Alternative training may include:
- Completion of first clinical year of NLN-approved nursing program.
- Graduate of an approved RN or LPN program.
- EMT-B certification.
- Armed Forces Corpsman experience.
Pay
Pay range: $17.17–$29.90 per hour.
