Patient Care Technician
About the role
This position is Per Diem, Hours As Needed, at Kimberly Hall South, South Building, 1 Emerson Dr, Windsor, CT 06095. DaVita Kidney Care is expanding its services to include DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services, focusing on improving the lives of patients residing in skilled nursing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Complete Care at Kimberly Hall South, South Building, 1 Emerson Dr, Windsor, CT 06095
- Work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care
- Work 3 days a week, with no required on-call
- Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track
- Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting
- Plan to be on your toes at all times, applying core skills to monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
Requirements
- Prior Hemo-Dialysis experience
- Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook

- Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background (Nice-to-have)

Pay
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
Schedule
Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours/week during training. May be asked to support other local SNF dens.
