About the role

The Patient Care Technician position at UFlex Float Pool offers the opportunity to care for a wide variety of Acute Care patients across Northside Hospital's legacy campuses (Atlanta, Cherokee and Forsyth.) This position consists of a 1 shift per week commitment. Northside Hospital is award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing.

Responsibilities

• Nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.
• Aids patients with activities of daily living.
• Performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients.
• Shares various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team.

Requirements

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

Preferred: Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
