Job Summary
The part-time (0.45 day shift) position with weekend and holiday requirements includes a one-week pre-training week for hospital onboarding. The Surgical Unit at Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center cares for adult surgical patients, including orthopedic surgeries and trauma.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate patient care with nurses
- Implement patient care plans according to established methods and techniques
- Document vital signs, I&Os, and other patient information
- Assist with patient care, including hourly rounding
- Support diagnostic procedures and assist with technical nursing treatments
- Perform chart review, pre-visit planning, and patient intake
- Manage schedule tracking and referral reports
- Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and lab tests
- Coordinate the prescription assistance program
- Pre-authorize patient visits and procedures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Nurse Aide or Emergency Medical Technician certification
- Prior work experience in health care
- Prior education in or work experience with medical terminology
