Patient Care Tech - Specialty Surgery

About the role

The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patients and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to patient care as directed by licensed nursing staff.
• Ensure patient's hygiene, nutrition, safety, and comfort.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Florida CNA license required.
• Nursing students: currently enrolled in a Nursing program (ASN or BSN) and have completed Fundamentals of Nursing (unofficial transcript must be submitted with application).
