Required: Must be able to attend full-time orientation the first week (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.)

About the Role

The Patient Care Technician performs various duties under a licensed nurse’s supervision, helping deliver patient care and meet family needs while following the care plan and considering the patient’s age and developmental stage.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and record patient data, including vital signs.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL).
  • Answer call lights and complete patient rounds.
  • Help with completing and maintaining files and forms for admission, transfer, and discharge.
  • Assist with patient personal hygiene and clean-up.
  • Comply with Baylor Scott & White policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Less than one year of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer).
