Patient Care Tech / PCT Float Pool

About the Role

Join our team as a night shift, full-time Float Pool Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Tulsa, OK. This role works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT, including:

• Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Observing patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
• Obtaining and recording patients' vital signs and collecting specimens for lab tests.
• Providing basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measuring and recording patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines.
• Assisting patients with range of motion and drawing blood.

You will be cross-trained and cross-competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross-trained and cross-competent).

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school.
• Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
