About the role
Provides individualized, culture-specific patient care by attending to the personal needs and comfort of patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assists the professional or licensed nurse as delegated in tasks requiring less technical skills. Participates in shift and bedside report. Supports regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives.
Sign-on bonus: Up to $2500 based on eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate.
- EKG training in selected units.
- CPR certification.
- Excellent customer service and basic computer skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively and effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of patient rights, aseptic/sterile technique, and infection control best practices.
Qualifications
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting (preferred).
- CNA/LNA certification from the Arizona State Board of Nursing (preferred).
