About the role

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to ensure the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. They assist patients with activities of daily living and perform necessary hygiene and comfort procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Performs hygiene and comfort procedures for patients
• Shares various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members of the patient care team

Requirements

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Must have one (1) year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
• Preferred visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a CNA, PCT, Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (AMT), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)
