Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to postpartum mothers in a couplet-care model, with primary focus on maternal recovery, comfort, and overall well-being.
• Assist mothers with activities of daily living, including walking, perineal care, hygiene, pain management support, and comfort measures during the postpartum recovery period.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document maternal vital signs and labs, promptly reporting any changes in condition and maintaining strong attention to detail in a non-critical care setting.
• Promote a supportive, family-centered environment by managing room flow and visitors appropriately while prioritizing the mother’s rest, privacy, safety, and recovery needs.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.
• Education: High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
