Responsibilities

• Renders basic patient care to patients in an assigned unit and assists the professional nurse
• Takes and records vital signs and observes, reports, and records patient condition
• Obtains specimens and administers other treatments
• Operates or assists in operating various mechanical devices
• Meets physical comfort needs of patient
• Reports emergencies and administers emergency treatment

Qualifications

• CNA, Nurse Aide Experience, or currently attending a school of nursing
• BLS certification required (to be completed within 3 months of employment)
