About the role
Provides direct patient care and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures while supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
Assists the healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse, including gathering patient information, identifying needs, and reporting abnormalities or changes in condition.
Maintains patient safety by following infection prevention protocols, isolation guidelines, hand hygiene standards, and proper use of protective equipment.
Responds appropriately during clinical emergencies and supports quality improvement initiatives, performance standards, and departmental best practices.
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring a clean, safe care environment.

Requirements
- High School Grad or Equiv
- 1+ applicable PCT experience
- Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
- Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)
- Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT)
Qualifications
- High School Grad or Equiv
