Patient Care Tech I - Telemetry
About the role
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse and performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange relevant information. Communication with external contacts involves providing or giving factual information.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming needs
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to the RN
- Administer medications as ordered by the RN
- Provide assistance with meals and snacks
- Ensure patient comfort and safety
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks
Requirements
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
- One year of clinical experience is required
- Nursing Assistant Certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing required
- Current CPR certification
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position

Pay
Salary Range: Minimum 18.41/hour - Maximum 27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
Schedule
12-hour night shift; 7p - 7:30a
