Authorized hours: 48.00 bi-weekly

About the role

The primary function of the Patient Care Technician (PCT) is to assist the patient and family with basic patient care, monitoring, hygiene, and to help ensure care is complete. The PCT works as an essential part of the patient care team. As the member who spends the most time in the presence of the patient, compassion, caring, and excellent human interaction skills are necessary, along with strong communication skills both with the patient and family and with the rest of the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • 12 college-level credit hours that include a passing grade in English Composition with a C or higher and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater (transcripts will be verified upon application)
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Service industry experience preferred but not required

Training provided

  • CPR certification
