About the role
The Patient Care Technician provides a variety of indirect and direct care, including provision for patient's dependency needs such as nutrition, hygiene, safety, and physical and psychological comfort measures, to patients and significant others, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform tasks related to patient care as directed by licensed nursing staff.
- Ensure patient's nutritional, hygiene, safety, and comfort needs are met.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living as appropriate.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Florida CNA license.
- Nursing students: currently enrolled in a Nursing program and has completed Fundamentals of Nursing. (Must submit unofficial transcript with application).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures.

- Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
