Patient Care Tech Cardiac PCU

Description

The PCT, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.

Shifts Available

• Day / Night
• Every other weekend and holiday

Day Shift

6:30 am - 3:00 pm

Night Shift

10:30 pm - 7:00 am

What You Will Do

• Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
• Assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
• Collections and sends specimens including blood and blood cultures and inserts and removes peripheral IV catheters.
• Responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.
• Provides services to older adolescent, adult, and older adult cardiac patients, acute and chronic Heart Failure patients, as well as medical surgical patients who require cardiac monitoring.
• Patient on the unit require close and frequent assessment and skillful and timely clinical interventions in order to achieve their treatment goals.
