Patient Care Nursing Assistant

Duties

• Performs various patient care activities and related services under the direction of licensed staff.
• Includes Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs monitoring, electrocardiograms (EKGs), drug screenings, patient searches, glucose checks, and other direct patient care duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a PCT, MA, or CNA preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• At least one year of experience providing direct customer service to customers or patients strongly desired.

Physical And Environmental Demands

• The ability to walk six to eight miles in an eight-hour shift.
• The ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to work under periods of high stress and in a consistently fast-paced environment.
