Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in clinical problem solving, high risk patient process, internal and external incidents and codes, compliance standards and identifies staff development and remediation needs.
- Represents entity and BHSF in the absence of senior leadership or as delegated.
- Supports and directs all hospital departments, collaborates closely with hospital leadership.
- Works closely with the staffing office to ensure that the 24 hour/7 day nursing staff needs meet budgeted standards of excellence.
- Oversees Flexible Staff from the Central Staffing Center during the assigned tour of duty.
- Collaborates with nursing leadership participating in performance improvement of the hospital wide continuum of care of patients to ensure quality, safety and patient and family centered care standards are met.
- Responsible for patient flow through the centralized prioritization of patients and staff placement per entity standards.
- Participates in committees as needed.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
- Basic Life Support.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Masters preferred.
- 5 years hospital or healthcare setting experience.
- Experience working with Staffing and Scheduling preferred.
- Supervisor/Management experience preferred.
- Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards.
- Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
- Able to prioritize and delegate.
- Certification in area of specialty preferred.
- Life Support Certificate (BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS) as per department standard.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
- RNs hired prior to 1/2023 with an Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN) have 3 years to complete the BSN.

Estimated pay range for this position is $43.44 - $57.78 / hour depending on experience.
