About the role

Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit, 3 East! This unit is part of MetroHealth's MetroHealth Main Campus, which has been delivering high-quality patient-centered care since nearly two centuries. It operates state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center and specialty care units, and is committed to eliminating healthcare disparities.

Responsibilities

• Primary Patient Population: Inpatient Oncology, Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)
• Primary Skills Utilized/Learned: ADL’s, Vital Signs and bladder scans, Hospice and palliative care, Time management, Critical thinking, Delegating
• Personnel: PCNA’s will work with LPNs, RNs, Nurse Interns, Providers
• Number of Beds: 30 beds

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or high school equivalency exam
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (optional after employment)
• 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital
