About the role

Join our Acute Care Adult Telemetry Unit, 9 West at MetroHealth Main Campus. This unit operates bi-weekly hours of 7a-7p/ 3p-11:30p with rotating weekends and holidays.

Primary Patient Population

Mixed Disease Process

Skills Utilized/Learned

• Cardiac monitoring (EKG’s)
• Blood glucose monitoring
• Bladder scans
• Taking vital signs
• Intake and Output & ADL’s

Personnel

RN will work with LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT/OT, WOCN, Social Work, Case Management

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam
• Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (optional after employment in this position)
• 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital
