PATIENT CARE HOSTESS - NUTRITIONAL SERVICES - FULLTIME DAYS

Responsibilities

• : Collect menus from patients and deliver trays under the supervision of the Patient Care Hostess Lead.
• Ensure each patient is assisted with tray set-up for every meal, following protocols and dietary guidelines.
• Attend to all patient food service needs, including nourishments and snacks, with care and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate empathy and professionalism while interacting with patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
• Serve as a communication link between patients, the Nutritional Services Department, and the Patient Care team.
• Facilitate effective communication channels to address any concerns or special dietary needs of patients promptly and efficiently.
• Adhere to all established protocols, policies, and procedures related to patient food service and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper sanitation of equipment and workstations.
• Be flexible and willing to undertake additional duties or responsibilities as assigned.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and satisfaction.
• Uphold professional conduct at all times, demonstrating respect, confidentiality, and integrity in interactions with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training provided for the actual position.
• Ability to read, follow oral, and written instructions and established policies and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills and some basic diet knowledge.
• Essential competencies: clear communication skills (written and verbal), knowledge of basic computer programs, ability to keep confidential information regarding patients, team members, and visitors, skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors, and ability to withstand crisis situations.
• Preferred qualifications: high school graduate or equivalent education, entry salary range of USD $17.00/Hr. to USD $26.35/Hr.
