About the Role

At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Women's Health nurses have created a supportive, compassionate environment for all phases of ante- through postpartum care. With over 12,000 births annually, we're the experienced and caring team families count on for successful outcomes. Coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services to our patients. Assist with unit administration, including the management of staffing needs. Counsel staff RNs on a regular basis, providing clinical education and conducting follow-up procedures as necessary. Foster collaboration and independent thinking. Lead and round with the night staff. Mentor, coach, and implement performance and quality improvement.

This is a full-time, five days a week position at NewYork-Presbyterian / Allen Pavilion.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of clinical care to ensure high-quality, family-centered services
  • Assist with unit administration, including staffing management
  • Provide clinical education and counsel to staff RNs, including follow-up procedures
  • Foster collaboration and independent thinking among the team
  • Lead and round with the night staff
  • Mentor, coach, and implement performance and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • A minimum of 3 years RN experience in Maternal Health with demonstrated leadership skills
  • NYS RN License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Management experience in Maternal Child Health units

Pay

Salary Range: $170,000 - $217,000/Annual

All roles require on-site presence, and employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
