About the role

The Patient Care Director – RN – Antepartum-Full Time – Days at NewYork-Presbyterian oversees the Antepartum unit, facilitating efficient and cost-effective operations, promoting safety and quality, and aligning unit goals with hospital strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates efficient and cost-effective daily operations of the Antepartum unit, managing admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Promotes a culture of safety and quality by ensuring consistent implementation of established standards, protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to establish unit goals and ensure alignment with hospital strategic objectives.
  • Maintains staff compliance with regulatory, hospital, and divisional requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree, or must obtain within 1 year of hire.
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in nursing required.
  • New York State RN license required.
  • At least 3 years of acute care RN experience in Maternal Child Health required.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics required.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • National board Certification preferred.
  • Experience with union environments preferred.

Pay

$170,000 - $217,000/Annual
