Patient Care Coordinator (Medical Receptionist)
About the role
We're seeking a compassionate and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role involves welcoming patients and visitors, managing front-desk operations, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, maintaining patient records, processing patient orders, and more.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Manage front-desk operations, including patient check-in and check-out
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls with patience, accuracy, and care
- Schedule appointments and register patients efficiently
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through various insurance portals
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
- Process and track patient orders, ensuring timely follow-up
- Make outbound calls to patients regarding appointments, orders, and other office needs
- Learn and utilize internal systems and software (paid training provided)
- Help maintain a smooth, organized, and patient-focused office environment
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable managing a high volume of phone calls
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or insurance verification is a plus—but not required

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $22.00/hr. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
